The weekend sailing started early, with Craig Baker leading a Laser clinic on Saturday.
Unfortunately, there was not much wind, just enough to keep some of the boats moving some of the time. Craig ran the races for us, and there were eight boats on the start line for the second race, even though the wind was light, shifty and frustrating!
Race 1
1 Kellys
2 Feavers
3 Liz
4 Jean
5 Patti
6 Jamie
7 Brian Woods
Race 2
1 Kellys
2 Jean
3 Feavers
4 Jamie
5 Karen
6 Patti
7 Liz
8 Brian Woods
Race 3
1 Feavers
2 Kellys
3 Jean
4 Patti
5 Liz
Sunday offered a bit more wind, still irregular and shifty, but fewer sailors competing:
Race 1
1 Feavers
2 Kellys
3 Karen
Race 2
1 Feavers
2 Kellys
3 Karen
In calculating these results, I discovered that the Laser 4.7 has a handicap between the full rig and the radial. I was surprised that it is expected to be a faster rig than the radial.
