A small fleet set out on Saturday for the Ice Cream Cup, but the wind died down, so we turned around at the reef in the middle of the lake and headed home.
Sunday -- Canada Day -- 2 Yflyers, 3 Tasars, 2 Lasers and a Wayfarer set for the "Round the Islands" event, on a course around a couple of islands at the East end of the lake. As we were parading in front of Franck's cottage, we crossed courses with a parade of dozens of motorboats roaring along flying Canadian Flags, and traveling in the opposite direction. It was fun to see, but very wavy!
Monday, for the first time this year, there was enough wind to set a triangle course, but as we completed the first triangle, we saw lightning, shortened the race, and headed back to the club. The storm must have passed North of us, but the wind died, so we were glad to be back at the club.
